1. I spent the last two weeks watching all of Bones. All of it. From the first season to the latest episode of the fifth. Umm... yes. Why do I need a social life of my own when I have theirs...? That is my reasoning. I will expound on this more later, I think, because I'm kind of obsessed with it right now.

2. I've decided on a tentative title for my NaNo: The Muddy Curve. I may or may not have stolen it from a Tilly and the Wall song... I will neither confirm nor deny. I also reserve the right to change it if I hear a more appropriate lyric later (very likely).

3. So done with school. So done. Although I do get to do a couple of projects that should be fun... one where we pick a director or producer to give a short presentation on, and one where we pick a scene from a movie to give a short presentation on. I've picked Edgar Wright for the first one and the scene in The Village where the creatures invade their valley for the first time for the second one. Am I excited about these... the answer is yes. I never like to present things, but it's a lot better when I know and love what I'm talking about.

4. Is a Kirk/Rand fic on the horizon? I do believe so.

I had a conversation with a friend about Yeoman Janice Rand and how her hair is beyond fantastic, which inspired me to scan the internet for some pictures of her. I found some, and I also found a lot of other awesome classic Trek pictures I'd never seen before, or had at least never seen a good sized version of. So naturally, it is time for a picspam.

So I wrote another thing, and I posted it over at writingactually because I figured, hey, I set up a writing journal for a reason. I might as well use it. So:

I like it. I really do. It's neat. And usually I'm not one of those people who is terrified of change - this is Doctor Who, a show built around a guy that can change his face, so presumably the whole thing will undergo makeovers from time to time. But now it's just starting to seem like Moffat is changing things just for the sake of changing it. Is ANYTHING going to be the same? I MEAN IF IT AIN'T BROKE...

I'm withholding judgment until I see the show but... seriously.

How to write a fight scene: switch to the perspective of a different character who is doing something else, so you don't have to write a fight scene.

I'm not going to bed until I finish the second to last chapter of Signal Fire. I'm not going to lie, this thing is hard for me to write. PLOT IS HARD. AHH.

But I'm doing it, and it's almost done. Then I can say "look, I wrote a story with an adventure in it" and go back to writing "then Scotty was drunk and it was funny" stories.

In other writing news, I got my assignment for ladies1st and I'm extremely excited about it. It'll be a bit of a departure for me, but I've already got the idea down and as soon as Signal Fire is done I'm going to get busy on that.

I love Star Trek you guys. I love this fandom and I love reading fic. If anyone has any good recs for me I would LOOOOOVE you forever. <3<3

In other news, I finished the first season of The Big Bang Theory and of course I love it... my friend is going to loan me season 2 on Monday. Also, I saw that Single Ladies football dance on Glee, and I think I'm about to get sucked in. Because I am a TV addict. A real one. I will eventually need to go to rehab for this.

As I'm writing this I'm waiting for Dollhouse to start... so there might be another reaction post forthcoming.
